What's the price of beauty in Korea? How much would it cost to transform yourself and get rid of features you've always hated? Price awareness is critical in helping you make a decision, so you know how much money you will need to save up - before planning your trip to Korea.

In this K-beauty Price Tag series, we will tell you exactly how much it costs to do a certain procedure and save you the hassle of making price comparisons on your own. This information - provided by Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare - can also serve as reference when you get quotations from clinics, and to prevent overcharging.

First on our list is eye procedures:

1. Double eyelid (non-incision): US$1,100 - US$1,400

It is suitable for people with thin eyelids without fat or sagging. Effects are not permanent, and can be reversed. The procedure takes 30 minutes to an hour. Recovery period is one week.

2. Double eyelid (incision): US$1,400 to US$2,300

The incision method, also known as the cutting method, is a surgical procedure that involves making an incision to make a clear double eyelid. It is suitable for people with sagging skin or excess fat around the eyes, which can be removed during the process at additional costs. Effects are permanent and non-reversible. The procedure takes one to one and a half hours. Recovery period is one week.

3. Medial epicanthoplasty: US$750 to US$1,100

Medial epicanthoplasty is a surgical procedure to create big and vivid eyes by removing the "Mogolian fold" that most Asian people have on their eyes, or by extending the outer corners of the eyes. Discounts can be offered if done together with double eyelid surgery. The procedure takes 30 minutes to one hour. Recovery period is one week.

4. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty: US$1,800 to US$2,800

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes unnecessary fat, tissue or skin under the brows to create a more defined double eyelid. The procedure takes one to one and a half hours. Recovery period is one week.

5. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty: US$1,400 to US$2,800

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that involves making incisions on the lower eyelid to remove excess fat, tissue or skin. The procedure takes one to three hours. Recovery period is one week.

6. Under-eye fat removal: US$1,000 to US$1,600

This surgical procedure removes or realigns fat under the lower eyelid which causes eyebags or a protruding lower eyelid. The procedure takes 30 minutes to one hour. Recovery period is one week.

7. Love band surgery: US$1,400 to US$2,800
